lyrics
Walking towards the house
Not sure if I’m asleep or dead
The ravens call for me
To rest my weary head
Have I become a ghost?
Can others see me at all?
Do they know I’ve lived a thousand lives for them?
And yet I ask for nothing in return
The suffering incurred
through separation
Pathologize my existence
Repress the beauty in a single moment
I forgive you for what you’ve done to me
Its time to move on from this suffering
I won’t ever be the same
I can’t go back to the way it used to be
There’s something more, I can’t explain
I gave up trying
And it set me free
Time has dissolved
The concrete cage has lifted
I cannot fear myself
If I do not exist
I do not exist
I do not exist

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

Abigail Williams has had a weird career with hiatuses and lineup changes, but they have finally perfected their sound on Walk Beyond the Dark. This album has such a refreshing and natural feeling that makes it one of the top atmospheric black metal albums of recent years. Ryan
